A Jewel-toned Wedding Styled Shoot at Eola Hills Legacy Estates Vineyard in Salem, Oregon

Happy Autumn, flower lovers! I love everything about the fall, especially the color palettes! Admittedly, this outdoor vineyard wedding styled shoot was shot in the middle of summer, but I think you’ll agree that the warm, jewel toned color palette shouts, “it’s fall, y’all!” or at least suggests that autumn is coming!

This shoot featured the talented work of three different Oregon wedding photographers, Emily Skye Photography, Alisha Hale Photography, and Ashley Masters Photography. To not confuse each of their individual photography styles, I’m going to feature each photographer separately in a series of different blog posts. Today, we’ll exclusively feature Emily Skye Photography, so all the photos on this post are Emily Skye’s work. Stay tuned for subsequent blog posts with incredible images from this jewel-toned vineyard wedding styled shoot by the other photographers, Alisha Hale and Ashley Masters. We set this styled shoot at the gorgeous vineyard wedding venue and winery tasting site Legacy Estate Vineyard (of Eola Hills Winery) in Salem, Oregon. If you like wine tasting, I encourage you to visit their tasting room which is open 1-6pm daily and features delicious Oregon wine from Eola Hills Winery. The spectacular views of lush, rolling hills and pristine rows of grapevines surrounding the vineyard will take your breath away as you sip delicious wine on their large patio or from the other relaxing spots under oak trees around the vineyard. Its an absolutely gorgeous place for an outdoor wedding! They have a sweet little pond with a deck next to a lush green lawn, and several spots just perfect for a wedding ceremony and reception.

The styled shoot was coordinated and styled by the talented Krystle Clear Events, whom I’ve had the honor and pleasure of working alongside many weddings and styled shoots over the past few years. Her attention to detail, warm and friendly demeanor, and creativity make every event (whether its a real wedding or a styled shoot) run smoothly, stress-free, and sure to be styled beautifully. I definitely recommend reaching out to her if you are planning an Oregon wedding or anywhere in the Pacific Northwest! I’ve said it numerous times, but I can’t stress it enough: wedding coordinators are absolutely worth it! They remove so much stress and pressure from the couple, provide invaluable knowledge and wedding tips, help execute a wedding vision into reality, and can often save you money overall.

We chose the color palette of warm jewel tones to mimic the beautiful sunset colors often witnessed at the vineyard. Our palette included orange, burgundy, blue-ish purple, and teal. We also brought in vintage elements to the styled shoot with the rented decor accents. All the colors of our styled shoot palette are beautifully displayed on our rectangle reception tablescape, which we chose to shoot nestled in an oak tree grove surrounded by rows and rows of grapevines. For the Love of Pete Rental company in Salem, Oregon supplied the gold colored vintage compote urns I used for floral centerpieces down the 6-top reception table. They also supplied the teal tinted glass goblets, gold chargers, and napkins and a chiffon runner, both in rich burgundy. A table number card as well as a nametag was beautifully printed by the talented wedding stationery artist Blue Bonsai Printing, who also created gorgeous wedding invites for the styled shoot.

Desserts were provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes in Clackamas, Oregon. If you’ve never had Nothing Bundt Cake, I seriously suggest you get on that, pronto. They work well for everyday treats as well as wedding cakes, because they come in various sized cakes in delicious flavors and are aesthetically beautiful with their simple icing. We used their mini cakes in colors that matched the styled shoot palette in red velvet and lemon.

Our models, Grace and Taylor, were a real life couple who fit the look perfectly of our shoot and were very fun to work with. Our stunning bride model, Grace happens to be International Ms. Oregon 2020! Her makeup was professionally done by the wedding makeup and hair artist, Morgan Nichols. Taylor wore a burgundy suit from The Black Tux and Grace wore a bridal gown from Adorned in Grace Bridal and Formalwear Shop, a bridal shop that sells new and gently used wedding dresses and accessories at discount pricing and supports a really great cause! The proceeds of every sale at Adorned in Grace go toward the awareness and prevention of sex trafficking as well as crisis prevention and support for sex trafficking survivors.

We staged a ceremony on the lawn near the lake which included a cute wooden house-shaped arbor rented from For the Love of Pete. I installed a floral installation in two spots on the wooden wedding arbor in the color palette of the shoot. I included blue hydrangea, orange roses, burgundy and brown amaranthus, blue thistle, eucalyptus, burgundy and orange dahlias, and italian ruscus. We also staged a sweetheart table look near the ceremony site, which included large vintage red velvet chairs.
