Summer Outdoor Wedding in Pastel Colors at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon

For many engaged couples, getting married in 2020 meant scaling down their guest count and wedding sizes to fit within certain county guidelines due to Covid-19. Sunriver, Oregon was within one of the Oregon counties allowing larger guest counts this summer, which meant Conner and Monica could have their dream wedding without postponing and Flowers by Alana was honored to travel from Portland to Sunriver to be their wedding florist. Their wedding photos (and all photos on this blog post) were taken by the talented wedding photographer Carsten Tice and their wedding videography was done by Ivy Pacific Northwest. Their wedding was planned and coordinated by The Indigo Bride and their wedding took place at the gorgeous Sunriver Resort wedding venue near Bend, Oregon.

Monica and I connected over ZOOM several weeks before her wedding, and I immediately loved her warm cheerful spirit as she share her dream wedding vision. Her chosen wedding palette was soft pastels and her favorite floral style was elegant and romantic with a ton of lush, Northwest greenery, which was very synchronous to my personal floral design style! For her gorgeous bridal bouquet, I used white hydrangea, garden roses in blush, peach, and ivory, pale blue nigella, seeded eucalyptus, and Italian ruscus greenery. It truly was stunning in soft colors and rich textures in seeds, foliage, and petals!

Her bridesmaids wore floor-length, dusty blue bridesmaid gowns in various styles and strappy white sandals. They carried bridesmaid bouquets I designed with pale blue hydrangea, blush roses and garden roses, creamy Ivory vendela roses, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Monica wore a gorgeous bridal gown from Made with Love Bridal, an Australian based online luxury bridal shop, and her hair and makeup was done by Cassidy Elise. Conner and all the groomsmen wore grey suits from Men’s Warehouse, with Conner in a pale blue bowtie and his groomsmen in pale blue neck ties. I designed their boutonnieres with peach colored ranunculus, pale blue nigella, and seeded eucalyptus.

Monica and Conner were married beneath a large wedding tent draped overhead with gorgeous white stretch fabric, rented by Curated Event Rentals. Their wedding altar was a wooden arbor (made by one of her bridesmaids!) that I draped in white chiffon and designed on site an altar installation in their pastel wedding palette of ivory, blush, pale peach, and soft blue florals. I used hydrangea in pale blue and white, creamy vendela roses, blush and peach garden roses, peach hypericum berries, peach stock flower, seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus, and Italian ruscus greenery.

At the entrance of their wedding aisle were two wine barrel arrangements in similar flowers to the altar installation with pale blue and white hydrangea, Vendela roses, blush garden roses, peach hypericum berries, and seeded eucalyptus and vining Italian ruscus draping over the wine barrels.

At the reception, guest tables were dressed with linens from BBJ Linens and each table held a wooden table number sign, several glass votive candle holders rented from Curated Event Rentals and three different looks for decor. Some of the round tables held votives and a medium sized floral centerpiece I designed with a lot of seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus, hydrangea, Vendela roses, garden roses, stock and hypericum berries. The other round tables were decorated with three different heights of glass hurricanes filled with white pillar candles and surrounded by loose eucalyptus greenery. The rectangular reception tables had long vining Italian ruscus greenery and small, miniature bouquets of matching florals in rented blue glass goblets. The reception area also featured gorgeous bistro lights rented by Illuminate Your Night. Their white two-tiered wedding cake was made by Ida’s Cupcake Cafe with locations in Bend and Redmond. The cake was topped with seeded eucalyptus, peach garden roses and spray roses, and pale blue nigella flowers.
