Top Portland wedding florist Flowers by Alana had another incredible year, providing stunning and whimsical, romantic wedding flowers for many engaged couples getting married throughout the Pacific Northwest. This was our first full year in our new wedding floral studio, which was converted from a garage to an insulated and air-conditioned studio after owner and lead designer of Flowers by Alana, Alana purchased her first home the previous year. The floral studio had an exciting full year providing flowers for so many beautiful weddings!
This year, our wedding flowers traveled to the beautiful Oregon Coast for stunning sunset elopements and gorgeous beach weddings. Our wedding flowers trekked to Mount Hood, other mountains, and into deep forests for nature-rich, truly northwest style weddings. Our wedding bouquets and centerpieces floated the river on multiple Portland Spirit river cruise weddings. We had the absolute pleasure and honor to design flowers for professional athletes! Some of our wedding couples were local to Oregon, and many chose Oregon as a destination wedding site for our breathtakingly beautiful scenery and thriving wedding industry. Our flowers decorated some of our favorite urban industrial venues such as Ironlight and Black Pearl on the Columbia. We designed for weddings at golf clubs and country clubs, like Aspen Lakes in Sisters, Oregon and the Oregon Golf Club. Our wedding flowers beautified already gorgeous rustic settings like the Tin Roof Barn in White Salmon, Washington and romantic garden settings like the Abernethy Center.
The most exciting news of the year for Flowers by Alana was being nominated as a finalist for Oregon Wedding Day (formerly Oregon Bride magazine) Best of 2023 for Best Portland florist! Wow, what an incredible honor to receive this nomination and be recognized for our professionalism and wedding floral craft! Oregon Bride magazine threw an incredible awards event at the Nines Portland to honor all the finalists, announce the winners for all the wedding vendor categories, and announce their new brand name Oregon Wedding Day! It was so fun to celebrate and enjoy a lavish night of fun with all our favorite wedding industry partners and friends! We danced, networked, ate delicious food, enjoyed cocktails, cheered the winners, and had so much fun at various interactive photobooths and unique sponsors.
In 2023, Flowers by Alana was published on Wedding Rule as one of the top Portland wedding florists. What an honor to be recognized and listed as a top Portland wedding florist! We were also published in an article about the language of flowers in the style magazine Audacity Society, founded by Ms. USA Global World (formerly Ms. Washington!)
Besides weddings, we also designed flowers for funerals and memorials, baby showers and retirement parties. We taught wreath making workshops in the flower studio, and had the pleasure of welcoming branding photographer Brittney Corey to our floral studio for branding photos! You can see photos and her sweet article from the shoot here.
As we wind down and reflect upon the year, we have so many things to be grateful for and are continually grateful and honored for the trust our clients instill in us to provide their beautiful wedding flowers. We are also always excited for a new year and the new wave of engaged couples reaching out for their wedding flowers! Booking season is upon us!
