A Dreamy Celestial Wedding at Sah-Hah-Lee Golf Course near Portland, Oregon

There’s something magical about a celestial wedding. Weddings in general are magic as they celebrate a couple’s unique love story, but celestial themed weddings seem to declare that their love story was truly written in the stars. This love story and the dreamy celestial wedding of Emily and Paden was just that.

Emily and Paden first met when they both modeled for an artistic project of fine art portraiture photographer, Stephanie Young of S. Young Photography. It was perfect that Stephanie was their wedding photographer five years after the couple met at her photoshoot! Stephanie and I met several years ago in a networking group called the MOB Nation (MOB stands for Mom-owned businesses) and I’ve always loved and admired Stephanie’s artistic style and her gorgeous and unique photography.

Emily and Paden’s celestial wedding was at Sah-Hah-Lee Golf, a golf course and wedding and event venue in Clackamas, Oregon, just a short drive south of Portland. Ever since I attended my first event at Sah-Hah-Lee Golf, I was enamored by the gorgeous wedding venue and was so honored and excited to do my first wedding there! Sah-Hah-Lee Golf has a beautiful wooden event pavilion which can be left to be open-air in warmer months, or enclosed for a warm event space in the colder months. The Pavillion has a beautiful outdoor wooden deck that overlooks the lush greenly wooded surroundings and the expansive golf course below. Gorgeous doesn’t even begin to describe just how breathtaking the lush, green landscape is at this beautiful wedding venue!

Emily and Paden’s wedding color palette was white, beige, blush, burgundy, and navy. Flowers by Alana incorporated all the colors of the palette in Emily’s boho inspired romantic bridal bouquet, which I designed with white hydrangea, beige Sahara roses, blush White Ohara garden roses, Portland-grown pink peterkort sweetheart roses, burgundy dahlias, white anemone with navy centers, eryngium (blue thistle), pampas grass, and silver dollar and seeded eucalyptus.

The bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid wore dark navy bridesmaid dresses and carried cluster style bouquets made with white hydrangea, beige Sahara roses, ivory Vendela roses, blush white ohara garden roses, and eucalyptus. Paden and his groomsmen wore boutonnieres made with a beige sahara rose, small burgundy dahlia, blue thistle, and eucalyptus pinned on their dark navy and grey suits. Everyone looked stunning!

Emily and Paden’s ceremony and reception were both held at the Pavillion at Sah-Hah-Lee. Guest tables dressed with dark navy linens and rich burgundy velvet, along with with vintage books, brass vessels, geometric candle holders, strings of star-shaped LED lights, and miniature floral bouquets in apothecary bottles. All the beautiful details of the table décor created such a celestial and storybook alchemy vibe!

The wedding ceremony altar site had a wooden hexagon arbor in front of pipe and drape. Flowers by Alana designed a floral installation on the hexagon arbor using pampas grass, smoke-bush, white hydrangea, burgundy dahlias, blush and beige roses, and eucalyptus. The wooden hexagon arbor and other wedding décor was rented by For the Love of Pete Rentals, a rental company in Salem, Oregon. Samantha of Divine Events was Emily and Paden’s wedding coordinator (and she’s also incidentally Emily’s cousin!) The reception was catered by Two Chicks and a Rooster Catering, and their beautiful dark navy with gold drip cake was from Kyra’s Bake Shop, a gluten free bakery in Lake Oswego who has won Cupcake Wars FOUR times on the Food Network! Atop the cake, I added flowers in the full palette of ivory, blush, burgundy and navy, along with seeded eucalyptus.
