Oregon wedding florist Flowers by Alana designed stunning all white wedding flowers for a classic romantic wedding at the Rock Creek Country Club in Portland, Oregon. This wedding was beautifully captured by the talented wedding photographer Lauren Zavaletta. Every stunning detail of this wedding had the timeless style that transcends trends and remains elegant and beautiful. The soft neutral floral palette of white and ivory and the sophisticated and sharply dressed attire of the wedding party were a few of my favorite details of this classic romantic wedding at a country club.
Wedding florals are an important aspect in creating the style and theme of any wedding, and the florals of this wedding did just that. A soft, neutral floral palette of cream, ivory, and white with sage colored greenery set the tone for the classic romantic wedding. Rich textures of the lush florals and greenery also provided a romantic feel to the wedding day. The bouquets and most of the floral arrangements throughout the wedding included classic wedding flowers like ivory colored Vendella roses, cream colored dahlias, classic white ranunculus, and white hydrangea. The bouquets also included seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus that provided a romantic touch in their soft sage color and smooth texture. Bridesmaids wore dark slate gray dresses that contrasted perfectly with the white and soft green hues of the bridal party florals.
Ceremony decor for this stunning outdoor country club wedding included florals, greenery, and white chiffon drapery designed on the venue’s classic white wooden wedding arbor. This wedding was the first time I had the opportunity to play with Southern Smilax, a Pinterest – popular greenery among wedding florists! Southern Smilax looks delicate, but has very hearty, strong elongated vines in various lengths that are perfect addition to wedding arbors and other tall wedding installations! Simple but beautiful ceremony florals in a lush well manicured garden set the stage for the classic romantic wedding ceremony.
Another area of ceremony decor were small bundles of eucalyptus tied to white chairs along the aisle, providing a hint of northwest organic style in just the right amount to keep the ceremony simple and classic. At the head of the aisle stood two large, black, standing urns with large classic ceremony arrangements in the wedding’s palette of white and trailing greenery, which was the perfect romantic and classic addition to welcome guests and complete the ceremony area.
The entrance to the large white reception tent supported a floral and greenery installation of hydrangea, roses, eucalyptus, and did you guess it?! ~ Southern Smilax! The tent walls were also donned with drapery tied together with ivory colored ribbon and bunches of eucalyptus greenery at every support pole. Simple touches of floral and greenery added elements of romance and elegance to the classic romantic wedding.
Cocktail tables were arranged on the grass outside the tent and were covered with classic white linens, gathered together below the table to suspend strands of draping silver dollar eucalyptus, adding more of the lush and romantic details congruent to this outdoor Oregon country club wedding. Greenery ties are a fun trend to add floral decor elements without taking up tabletop space.
Inside the large white tent were more details bringing more of the classic romantic wedding vibe. Gold chairs and gold chargers elegantly decorated classic white table linens at each guest table. Centerpieces were designed in golden glass floral urns that created a romantic, elegant, and almost vintage look that was perfect for the classic romantic wedding. Each centerpiece held a large “cafe au lait” dahlia, with their elegantly pale colored blooms in soft, blush pink and creamy beige, along with stock flowers, roses, and eucalyptus. The layers of multiple dahlia petals and the lush greenery of the centerpieces gave the reception tables a classic, romantic feel.
Other ways the classic and romantic theme was captured beautifully were in the bride and groom’s little details, like her sparkly glitter keds, the touch of lace in her classically sophisticated veil and garter, and his sharp dress shoes, slate grey tie, and simple boutonniere of a single Vendella rose and seeded eucalyptus. The simple and classic white tiered wedding cake with just the right touch of floral and greenery decor was also a classic and beautifully simple choice!
